So as to prepare the forthcoming work at the Eco-port des 2 Rives de Seine, a campaign was undertaken last summer to identify the ground soil materials in the area and St Louis basin.

Samples taken from the backfill of the old gravel pit and the sediment in the lake were analysed in a laboratory in the autumn; the results will help to hone the first series of investigations which have been undertaken previously.

They will help to set out how future work will be carried out and the possible reuse of the materials depending on their quality, in particular, their mechanical quality.

Technical studies will follow these investigations in 2016 to help draw up the building contracts.
