20 nest boxes for birds and 10 insect hotels were installed in Carrières-sous-Poissy this fall.
This installations meet the objectives of awareness and education about the environment defined by the program working in partnership with the Conseil départemental des Yvelines, Ports de Paris and Ecorem.

Between 2014 and 2015, the competition “Dessine-moi une maison” (Draw me a house), organized with the grade schoolers of the Boucle de Chanteloup, gave us the chance to select 10 nest box models and 10 insect hotel models out of 242 children’s drawings.

Between 2015 and 2016, the Communauté urbaine Grand Paris Seine & Oise called upon the services of carpenter, Mr. Anthony Devaud, located in Orgeval, to build the selected shelters for birds and entomofauna.

On the 25th, 26th, and 27th of October, the association of occupational integration, “DEFI Services,” installed the nest boxes and insect hotels at several sites in Carrières-sous-Poissy.
In the Parc du Peuple de l’herbe, the nest boxes for birds and the insect hotels have been installed on the Green Heart (le Coeur Vert) at the Château Ephémère, the Carrières Centralité, and the “Fabrique 21.”
