The park’s preview developments are nearing completion. The concept of a “preview development” is designed to give visitors an idea of what the park will be like when it is finished. This section already illustrates the theme of insect life and the park’s ecological and recreational/educational character.

The developments completed so far, the paths, small squares, thematic gardens (on the future site of the allotment gardens with their gardeners’ sheds), temporary furniture and signage convey the “under construction” spirit of the park and give visitors a chance to start using the facilities. There are also picnic areas.

Insect hotel in the Jardin des insectes (insect garden)

The first educational activity took place on 29 May, when 24 children aged 8 to 10, supervised by three activity leaders from the Carrières-sous-Poissy municipality, collected and observed insects, then installed them in the insect garden’s insect hotel.

Students doing a post-secondary BTS course at the Lycée de Saint Germain en Laye also visited the park on 3 July to learn about apprenticeships and professions in landscaping.
